Per capita incinerated municipal solid waste in Europe in 2016
Incineration is the second most widespread technological solution for waste management in Europe, but not all countries choose this solution in the same way. In some countries, incineration affects more than half of the waste produced is incinerated, by with a simultaneous production of energy, such as in Norway, Denmark and Sweden. Elsewhere it is not used at all (as in Estonia, Cyprus, Croatia, etc).
