Tobacco as an insecticide
Tropical forests are rich in natural insecticides, as for example, tobacco leaves that could replace the more harmful synthetic chemical products that are presently widely used all over the world. We use these chemical products because their production involves remarkably lower costs. Bearing in mind the harmful nature of synthetic chemical products, it would be opportune to convert the market to products derived from plants. Currently the tropical forest only satisfies a small percentage of the world market.
