World Environment Day 2012
Stockholm that created the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), is to increase public sensitivity on a worldwide scale to environmental problems and to favour policies and actions that promote sustainable development. The city that will have the honour of hosting the official event will be Rio De Janeiro, where even the world conference on sustainable development will be held this year - Rio+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD) – twenty years after the first big Earth Summit that was held in Rio in 1992.
