The Earth is populated by an incredible amount of different living beings. The term that is used to define this “crowd” of organisms that inhabit every corner of the Planet, and that have adapted to the same, even in the most extreme environments, is biodiversity or biological diversity. Biodiversity or biological diversity is a neologism, and is a word formed by bio and diversity. Biodiversity indicates a measure of the variety of animal or vegetable species in the biosphere, and is the result of long evolutive processes.
