Effects on flora and fauna

As regards the possible alterations of the flora and fauna, according to available information, the only drawback is related to the birds crashing against the rotor. Usually the collisions are rare and limited to birds of prey. Migratory birds seem to be able to adapt to the presence of these obstacles. The RIN (Research Institute for Nature Management) carried out a study on this issue and verified that the losses are inferior to those caused by car accidents or crashes against light and telephone poles.
If all measures are taken when designing a wind-farm, the aeolic industry is one of the cleanest and safest power-producing industries ever. When in operation, it produces no pollutants, dusts or heat and, even after the plant has been pulled down, everything can go back to the way it was before, leaving no traces or damages to people or the environment.
