Environmental impact

Photovoltaic plants have a lower visual impact than thermo-electric plants or any other industrial plant. This is due to the height of these plants, to the possible use of solar panels to cover buildings, and to the new architectonic solutions, like photovoltaic fronts, which make these structures almost invisible. Of course the production of solar panels requires an electric energy consumption that, at the time being, cannot be underestimated. Anyhow the environmental benefits provided during the functioning of photovoltaic system (it has an average life of 20-25 years) are already more than the damages provoked during the panel production.
