There is something in the air

A large part of air pollutants are originated by energy-producing combustion processes. All the good practices mentioned in the previous pages ultimately aim at reducing the emissions caused by these processes, either by saving energy or by using “clean” technologies. This seems to be the most promising way to go in order to solve most air pollution problems. Many scientists and engineers are actually trying to find solutions to minimise the amount of pollutants emitted in the atmosphere when using traditional fossil fuels, while others are studying and testing the use of alternative “clean” energy sources to get rid of the problem altogether.
