From Europe to South America, with the exception of the Poles and the extreme deserts, in the whole world, there are 165,000 species of butterflies. About half of the European butterflies today is in danger of becoming extinct. In our country, Italy, as in the rest of the world the natural environments are increasingly fragmented, degraded and destroyed.
