Polymers

Polymers are high molecular weight compounds, both natural and synthetic, consisting of macromolecules; deriving from the combination of basic units called monomers, polymers have chemical and physical characteristics which allow them to be used in various types of human activities. In addition to some important natural substances such as cellulose and proteins, polymers are also synthetic materials such as plastic.
