Masked Butterflyfish

The yellow or masked butterflyfish (Chaetodon semilarvatus) is a Chaetodontidae, like the butterflyfish. They live in pairs or shoals and prefer dimly lit areas during the day. They feed on the polyps of madrepores and soft corals. They measure up to 23 cm long and live in the Red Sea and in the Gulf of Aden only.
