Global installed wind capacity, top 10 countries, 2017

The chart shows the top 10 countries in the world in terms of installed wind capacity. In 2017 a power of 52 GW has been installed worldwide, a 11% increase if compared to previous year, reaching a total power rising up to 539GW. The 84.7% of installed power in the world is located in just ten countries: China, USA, Germany, India, Spain, UK, France, Brazil, Canada and Italy.
Asia was the largest regional market for the ninth consecutive year, representing nearly 48% of added capacity, followed by Europe (over 30%), North America (14%) and Latin America and the Caribbean (almost 6%).
