Cleaning stations

Living in water does not necessarily mean being clean! Fortunately there are marine organisms that are real ‘cleaners’ of other fish. These animals live in places called “cleaning stations” where they establish a mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship with other fish that stop by in order to get completely cleaned from external parasites and uneaten food.
