Turtle week
In occasion of World Oceans Day, held on the 8th June, the WWF launched the appointment with turtle week, a week dedicated to marine turtles, which from 14 to 19 June will celebrate one of the animals that most symbolise both the oceans and the Mediterranean even though unfortunately they are also one of the most endangered. For the entire week, in Italian ports and beaches, there will be special initiatives, exhibitions and workshops, beaches will be monitored and specimens cured in rehabilitation centres will be returned to the sea. Moreover, experts and volunteers will be present to explain how to preserve one of the most precious treasures in our seas by performing just a few, simple actions and by taking greater care.
