Stop whale hunting
For the moment at least Japan has stopped its annual Antarctic whale hunt for scientific purposes due to the protests of environmentalists. It is possible that the mission might stop for good, for security reasons, earlier than expected. Hunting cetaceans for commercial purposes in Antarctica has been banned since 1986.
