Global Wind Day 2012
Today, Friday 15 June, Global Wind Day is celebrated, an international campaign to raise awareness about wind energy. In Italy, the event is coordinated by ANEV (Associazione Nazionale Energia del Vento – National Wind Energy Association) in collaboration with EWEA (European Wind Energy Association) and GWEC (Global Wind Energy Association). It is an event with many initiatives aimed at providing citizens with more information about the wind energy sector, which represents an important alternative energy to fossil fuels in order to reduce their consumption and consequently, CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. The are numerous initiatives organised all around the world to spread information about the advantages of this energy source.
