Methanol
Also known as wood alcohol, methanol is usually produced from natural gas, but it can also be synthesised from biomass. The most common process is biomass gasification, that consists of vaporizing biomass at a high temperature, removing hot gas impurities and making it pass through a catalizer that converts it into methanol. Corrected petrol compounds deriving from biomass act as fuel additives in order to reduce the emission of pollutants.Specials
