Biodiversity Festival 2020
From 17 to 27 September, the Parco Nord in Milan will host the 14th edition of the Biodiversity Festival, the annual event dedicated to the themes of nature and sustainability. The programme includes eleven days of initiatives that focus on biodiversity as a cultural value able to promote localities, scenery and knowledge intrinsically linked to nature and its cycles.
This edition is inspired by the values and intentions established by the UN, which proclaimed 2020 the “International Year of Plant Health” with the aim of “defending plants and those who contribute to their well-being.” This year too, the festival will be an opportunity for the citizens of Milan to find out about and get first-hand experience of the natural environment around the city, and understand the value of urban biodiversity for truly sustainable development of the territory.
In addition to meetings, debates and the usual well-established events, such as the sleeping concert, the experiential walks for adults and children, the travelling theatre in nature and the Slow Food markets, the Park will also host novelties linked to the world of design and creativity with the aim of involving younger people.
