Bio-climatic architecture

Solar energy is playing a vital role with reference to bioclimatic architecture, which improves the relation between buildings and nature, by carefully choosing the materials and the architectonic structure that better integrate with the surrounding environment. New insulating and transparent materials allow sunrays to heat the walls and the internal environment, by storing inside the house a part of heat that will be using during the night. Real greenhouses are built next to the external walls of buildings, in order to catch solar radiations in winter and heat the interior part of the house. In Freiburg, Germany, the first completely bio-climatic suburb has been built.
