Big and small animals
To live at the high temperatures of this inhospitable environment, some animal species have developed special morphological (concerning shape) and physiological (concerning functions) adaptations.
Desert animals, according to Allen’s rule, have smaller bodies than those of colder areas, so that they can more easily disperse heat, or large bodies, because the larger the animal’s mass (such as the camel), the more slowly the animal will get warm in the heat.
